Alright, so now your ready to ball? Got your goggles all made up following [THIS] tutorial? WiiMotes connected using [THIS] tutorial? Now you wanna know what the next step is? Good. Here’s what your going to need to do for the best gaming experience Fourmation has to offer. Also, forgive the quality of these pictures…my camera is like a decade old…
Ok, so software aside what you physically need are the following:
2x WiiMote
1x Sensor Bar
1x IR Goggles (or another sensor bar)
As you can see, we bought a wireless sensor bar so we don’t need to rely on the Wii to power it. You can grab them for like $10 on Amazon.
Now what we want to do next is correctly position the sensor bar and WiiMote #1 on your monitor. Simply place your sensor bar on top of your monitor, and place WiiMote #1 (the one with player 1 LED lit) upside down on top of it.
The objective here is to keep the WiiMote pointing at your eyes. So getting it eye-level will boost performance a lot. You can alternatively move around the WiiMote or sensor bar to below the monitor, just make sure you angle the WiiMote upwards so it’s pointing towards your eyes.
Ok, now you can throw on your Goggles (or tape the other sensor bar to a hat…) and pick up WiiMote #2 and start playing.
As of this writing the latest build of the game thats up requires that you press One (1) on each controller for it to take over from keyboard/mouse control when you initially launch the game.
As a general rule of thumb, you generally want to be at least twice as far away from your screen as your sensor bar is wide. So in this case about a foot or two, so stand up and get playing! Look at how much fun this kid who is in no way affiliated with The Fourmation is having!
